When I started Providence & Co, it wasn’t because sourcing from China was broken. It was because the trust was broken. I had seen too many businesses, ambitious, hardworking entrepreneurs pour their capital into orders that arrived late, defective, or sometimes not at all. I watched relationships crumble under the weight of hidden costs, opaque factory floors, and promises that evaporated the moment a container left port. The world didn’t need another middleman. It needed a partner who would stand on those factory floors and answer the phone at midnight. So we built something different.
